WoodSpring Suites Columbus West - Hilliard

As many before me have stated, the staff here are amazing. I am staying here with my two daughters, my youngest being autistic. She gets so excited running into Lynn and Brian in the hallways. They always greet her, even if it’s the 10th time they have seen her that day. They allow her to ramble and have never once made me feel bad about my (sometimes) wild child. The common areas are always clean. In fact it’s rare that I don’t see at least one person cleaning any time I come or go from the building. We are doing a longterm stay here and I am so thankful this is where we are. I feel completely safe, and more than that, I feel welcome. Thank you, Columbus West Woodspring!! :)

The front desk is absolutely the best when it comes to customer service and working with you. The cleaning staff is friendly. The facility is very clean. All in all, the best Extended stay I've been in. I've been in a few. Definitely would recommend if you want a safe location. And the staff monitors the parking lot at night.

Great staff Danny and Jeremy are wonderful they are very attentive and accommodating! They will make your stay terrific! Stayed there for months and have no complaints!

From the time you walk into the property you sense the cleanliness of the property. The team here really makes sure that your needs are met and they give you a safe and affordable stay. Special shout out to staff by name : Kurt, Lynn, Jeremy, Amber, Jessica, and Jessica, Brian and Danny. They are rock stars at this property. This gem is nestled right near a gas station and near easy travel the exterior is well kept and maintained, and while you might see some scary people at some locations this one is not that well lit and quiet. It is a great price for a room with a full size fridge, cook top, and cabinets.

HONEST UNBIASED REVIEW - I have been here now for quite awhile before leaving this review - I wanted to wait and get a feel for things. Originally, I was only staying two weeks but, for work, cost effectiveness and 100% convenience as well as the terrific staff I continue to stay. So, what's to love and appreciate? The cleanliness - staff are always mopping breezeways, hallways, corridors, elevator as well as sweeping outside parking lot, entry, foyer, removing trash etc. I notice more than others likely because I work remotely via my room, car and cell phone. The staff - they do care about those they serve. They are congenial, able to assist and acknowledge you. They are at times "patient to a fault" even with not so friendly demanding guests. This is an extended stay hotel - and with that there is a "different vibe" than with a standard hotel such as Marriot, Hilton or the like - you need to know that when you stay but, that "vibe" doesn't take away from the charm and convenience of it all! This hotel still offers a small secure entry gym, a coffee bar with fresh coffee each morning, package and mail holding if here for a longer stay and there is a nicely stocked vending area with drinks and snacks 24/7. They do have a secure laundry area that is kept clean and offers reasonably priced washers /dryers that do a great job cleaning and you can use a debit /credit card to pay - again convenient! There is a nice larger chain gas station / convenience store right next door with a paved and lit walking path directly to the station from the hotel entrance! Hilliard is just minutes away with the Rome Hilliard strip offering everything from restaurants, movies, planet fitness to shopping. Also, access to #270 ( the outer belt for Columbus and surrounding ) is seconds from the hotel - again, convenience! The parking lot is extremely well lit and monitored as is the entire building with security cameras and multiple locked door entries / key card required! There is a Tim Hortons right across the street if you don't have a car or don't want to drive and there is the afore mentioned convenience store too! My suite is a "non-smoking" room and the air conditioner for my room has been fantastic and ice cold since the day I began staying. These are quaint kitchenette type rooms with Flat Screen T.V. / Direct T.V. channels, in house wi-fi although I opt for T-Mobile home internet - it's broadband speed in this location -two towers in close proximity! There is a refrigerator, stove top, cupboards etc. and you can purchase utensils and silverware from the front desk or as mentioned head to a local store easily! Also, Uber, Lyft, Grub Hub, Door Dash and all others including Amazon Fresh, Kroger's Grocery, Pizza Places, etc. deliver and/or provide rides to those who request it! Staff provides room cleaning daily, once every week or two weeks depending on your needs and this includes floors, shower, sinks, tub, bed changes ( sheets, blankets, pillow cases etc. ) all fresh and clean as well as towels, toilet paper etc. There is night security personnel and the rooms have heavily secured doors actually better suited ( security wise ) than some of the more luxury hotels I have stayed at! The interior is nice throughout the hotel - not "top of line" but, clean and comfortable. The exterior just went through an entirely new paint job, looks terrific although I didn't think it even needed it? But, it still looks great! So --- you may be asking, "What's not to love?" - My true and only complaint is the "transient" guests that come and go. One day you will meet a wonderful business man or woman and/or other folks staying for a quick visit and at other times there are some "sketchy" folks in and out that lend to a "not so great" feeling until they check out in a day or so! Thankfully, the staff is very aware of who is staying so those needing to leave - will be asked to do so! They do care about the hotel and their guests! Overall - GREAT place and I would recommend!

The rooms are very clean, staff is very nice and helpful. Dan the general manager is really nice and friendly, and helpful. Can't say enough good things about them.

I’ve had a really positive experience staying at this extended stay. Coffee is always readily available, which is a small detail that makes a big difference day to day. There’s also a store within walking distance with a safe, easy path, so getting essentials is convenient without needing to drive. The location is excellent, being less than five minutes from shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment, which makes everything you need easily accessible. What stands out most is the sense of safety. Even when the front desk is closed, there is always someone on call to assist, which is very reassuring. The property also has security on site, and that added presence truly makes you feel safe at night. Overall, this is a comfortable, convenient, and secure place for an extended stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for peace of mind along with a great location.
